"The countdown is on for one of the Capital Region’s most cherished holiday traditions. With five weeks left until race day, organizers say more than 3,000 runners and walkers have already signed up for the 78th annual Troy Turkey Trot, taking place on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 27.
Recognized as the 12th-oldest road race in the nation, the Troy Turkey Trot draws thousands of participants each year to downtown Troy for a morning of fitness, fun, and community spirit.
'We’re thrilled to welcome everyone back for the 2025 Trot,' said Mayor Carmella R. Mantello. 'This event captures what Thanksgiving is all about- community, generosity, and togetherness. It’s a day when Troy truly shines.'
This year’s event will again be presented by Pioneer, a longtime sponsor that has supported the race since 1995."
