Rekha Singh Named Branch Manager & Business Development Officer

East Greenbush, New York
— Pioneer Bank announced today plans to move their East Greenbush branch to Greenbush Commons on Monday, May 1st. The new branch will be located at 602 N. Greenbush Road. The current branch is located at 598 Columbia Turnpike Road and will close on Friday, April 28th.

The new Pioneer Bank Branch, Greenbush Commons, will keep with the look and feel of the bank's recently updated branch design, with cutting-edge features and customer amenities. This branch will also include a drive-up ITM which allows users to video conference with a Pioneer Customer Care representative during their bank transactions.

Pioneer also announced that Rekha Singh will manage this new branch in addition to the Wynantskill branch. Rekha joined Pioneer in January 2017 as the Branch Manager and Business Development Officer for the Wynantskill branch. With more than 17 years of experience in management, Rekha will oversee multiple bank branches for Pioneer in addition to continuing to develop the staff and future business. Prior to joining Pioneer, Rekha was the manager of the Greenbush Commons location when it was First Niagara.

"We're excited to move this branch to Greenbush Commons. The location is convenient to our customers and the ITM technology allows customers to expedite their business when they want to do their banking,” said Thomas Amell, President and CEO.

"We are also very pleased to announce that Rekha Singh will oversee the Greenbush Commons branch. Rekha started at Pioneer in January and has been a great addition to Pioneer's culture. Her expertise and professionalism are a motivating factor in her success to date,” said Pioneer Bank Chief Customer Experience Officer, Jesse Tomczak.

Pioneer's ITM technology was introduced in 2015 and has received rave reviews from customers. The ITM functions much like an ATM, but allows customers to video conference with a remote Pioneer Customer Care representative. Customers are able to complete most transactions and services available at a physical teller station, including making loan payments, deposits/withdrawals or making account transfers.

With 22 branches throughout the Greater Capital Region, Pioneer's dedication to providing customers with a convenient, highly personalized level of customer service is matched only by its commitment to the values upon which it was founded. A bank firmly rooted in its local history, the Pioneer philosophy revolves around conducting business responsibly, personal investment in employees and giving back to the communities they serve.
