NEWS 10 ABC: ‘WishMakers Wanted’ to spread joy, hope to critically ill children

"Every day in the United States, more than 40 children are granted a wish through the Make-A-Wish organization. However, the nonprofit said that for every child who receives a wish, two more are still waiting. That’s where the annual WishMakers Wanted campaign comes in. 

 

...Make-A-Wish Vermont & Northeast New York recently celebrated Pioneer gifting $15,794 to the local chapter. Their donation marks over $100,000 in support in the past decade.

 

The celebration was part of World Wish Month.

'World Wish Month highlights what makes wishes possible: the WishMakers who give, fundraise, and lend their voice to the mission,” Jesse Tomczak, EVP and Chief Banking Officer at Pioneer and Board Chair of Make-A-Wish Vermont & Northeast New York, said. “I’ve seen firsthand the impact those efforts can have, and I’m proud that Pioneer is among those helping make wishes become reality for children and families.'"
