NEWS 10 ABC: Pioneer marks "Giving Tuesday" with $25K in donations 

"Today is Giving Tuesday, a global movement held annually the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, right after Cyber Monday. And so many people are shopping too, and they are encouraging people to practice generosity. Pioneer marking the occasion by presenting a $25,000 check in donations to a number of local nonprofits. That total is made up of $5,000 grants each championed by a Pioneer employee who shares a personal connection to the nonprofit. With these donations the Pioneer Charitable Foundation will surpass the $2 million mark in total giving, supporting more than 400 nonprofits since its founding in 2018. 

These organizations support local children and families through programs that promote access to food, learning, wellness, emotional support, and community enrichment. A check presentation will be held today at Pioneer’s headquarters in Colonie.
