Details: The $7.8 million project will transform a vacant, 1960s-era suburban-style building into the firm's new offices on the upper floors. Commercial space on the ground floor will be a design center with a cafe and event space. The design incorporates mass timber, a technique in which multiple solid wood panels are glued or nailed together to form columns and beams. Plans include exposed timber beams and columns, horizontal and vertical stained cedar siding, charcoal-painted brick walls, rooftop solar panels, a third-floor patio, large windows and a timber-and-glass overhang suspended above the sidewalk.

Phase of construction: Phinney purchased the building from Unity House in 2023 and closed on a loan with [Pioneer], along with state grants, earlier this year."
