Ways to Give on #GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday started in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good, and since then, it’s become a global movement to transform our communities and the world. GivingTuesday isn’t just about giving money to organizations. It can be as simple as making someone smile, helping a neighbor out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help. Every act of generosity counts and everyone has something they can give.

Give Time
By volunteering, you can give something back, make a difference to the people around you, develop new skills, and learn more about issues affecting your community. The right volunteer opportunity can help you reduce stress, find friends, and even advance your career. To find volunteer opportunities in your area, check out VolunteerMatch.

Give Goods
Organizations can always use donations like toiletries, books, clothes, and food. A good way to include your family is to bring them to the store with you - have them pick out their favorite things to give to someone else who needs it! Just be sure the check in with the nonprofit you’re collecting for before you begin. If you’d like something a bit bigger, try organizing a donation drive - it’s a great way to rally a group around a cause you all care about, whether that’s your friends, your family, your neighbors, or your co-workers.

Give Talent
Many nonprofits are understaffed or operating on a small budget and can’t afford the marketing, HR, technology, or planning resources that their missions deserve. One way you can help is by giving your time and talent to help a nonprofit. Reach out!

Give Kindness
A seemingly small act of kindness has the power to inspire generosity that can have a snowball effect. Buy someone’s lunch, text someone to tell them you’re grateful to know them, or compliment a stranger. It matters more than we can ever know.

Give Money
Throughout our communities, nonprofit organizations are working tirelessly every day to make a difference in our communities. The Pioneer Bank Foundation donates 100% of all proceeds to charitable organizations in our community that focus on the health and welfare of children. And don’t forget to share why you give! When we share our generosity, we inspire others to give back too. Share how and why you're giving back on #GivingTuesday on social media!
