Veteran Pioneer Employee and Region Native Anil Mulchandani to Manage Branch

Queensbury, New York
— Pioneer Bank announced today the opening of its Warren County branch in the Town of Queensbury. Previously a First Niagara branch, the Pioneer branch will be located at 739 Upper Glenn Street. The Queensbury branch will employ 4 people and open in June.

The new Queensbury Pioneer Bank Branch will keep with the look and feel of the bank's recently updated branch design, with cutting-edge features and customer amenities. This branch will also include Pioneer's drive-up ITM service, a convenience that allows customers to complete transactions during the same hours that the Customer Care Center is open and emphasizes the importance of being easy to do business with.

"The expansion into Queensbury is a major moment in Pioneer's future. Our business is growing, in respect to both commercial and personal banking, and we believe there is tremendous opportunity to bring our services further north. We look forward to a strong partner and community member in Queensbury,” said Tom Amell, President and CEO.

Pioneer also announced that longtime team member and area native, Anil Mulchandani will manage the Queensbury branch. Anil has been with Pioneer for more than 10 years, as a Sales and Team Manager, most recently in the branch on Central Ave. in Colonie.

"It's our pleasure to announce that Anil will manage the Queensbury Branch. As a native of Queensbury, and an exemplary Pioneer team member for more than 10 years, Anil is a perfect choice for the job. Anil is very active in our community outreach and volunteer programs, as well as professional development and assisting fellow employees with their development,” said Pioneer Bank Chief Customer Experience Officer, Jesse Tomczak.

Pioneer's ITM technology was introduced in 2015 and has received rave reviews from customers. The ITM functions much like an ATM, but allows customers to video conference with a remote Pioneer Customer Care representative. Customers are able to complete most transactions and services available at a physical teller station, including making loan payments, deposits/withdrawals or making account transfers.
